RCMP is investigating after one person was injured during an armed home invasion in East Preston, N.S.
Police say they responded to a report of a home invasion on Upper Partridge Road near Highway 7 at around 2:25 a.m.
According to police, three men, one of whom had a handgun, entered the home through a window, assaulted one of the three occupants and demanded money before fleeing.
Police say a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two occupants, a 48-year-old woman and a youth, were not physically injured.
The men were described by police as three male suspects wearing black ski masks. Two of the suspects were dressed in black, while the third was wearing a black and white jogging suit.
Police say they patrolled the area with assistance from RCMP Police Dog Services, but the suspects were not found.
The investigation is ongoing.
