A 41-year-old man has been charged after police say a second man was pushed off a second-floor balcony at a Moncton hotel.

RCMP Sgt. André Pepin says officers were called to Hotel Moncton on Mountain Road around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Pepin says they were told by a witness that a man was pushed off the balcony by another man.

The victim, a 41-year-old man, was taken to hospital and later released.

Pepin says a man from Hoyt, south of Fredericton, was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm during a weekend court appearance Saturday morning.

He says Justin Edward Wayne Blosser has been remanded into custody and will appear in court on Monday afternoon.
