Allison Bamford
ContactAllison Bamford is a Multi-Skilled Journalist for CTV National News, based in Regina.
Bamford began her journalism career as an intern at CTV Saskatoon in 2016, before becoming a videojournalist at CTV Prince Albert in May 2017, covering Indigenous issues, legal proceedings, sports, and community events.
In the fall of 2017, Bamford accepted a job at Global Regina, where she worked as a producer, reporter, and anchor for nearly four years. There she hosted the station’s current affairs program, FOCUS SASKATCHEWAN, and contributed extensive coverage of Saskatchewan’s 2020 provincial election, leading results coverage and participating in the provincial debate panel.
Bamford joined the CTV News Regina team in September 2021, where she worked as a videojournalist before taking on her current role with CTV NATIONAL NEWS in the fall of 2023.
She won the 2023 RTDNA Prairie Region Award for Feature News in a small/medium market for her story “Mariachi Performance on the Prairies.”
Bamford grew up in Assiniboia, Sask. She attended the University of Regina, graduating with a degree in Journalism in 2017.
She has a passion for curling and one of the highlights of her career is covering the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw.
She speaks English.
