TORONTO - Hedley's Jacob Hoggard will host this year's Juno Awards.

The 30-year-old will steer the live broadcast from Hamilton's FirstOntario Centre on March 15th.

His band will also perform during the show, along with Hamilton's Arkells and Vine sensation Shawn Mendes.

Hedley has three nominations this year, but in the past the Vancouver pop outfit has won only twice out of 26 nominations.

Toronto pop act Magic leads with five nominations going into the show, while Montreal's Leonard Cohen and Calgary's Kiesza picked up four apiece.

Alanis Morissette will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, while Toronto trio Rush will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award.
