CTV News won top honours at the Radio Television Digital News Association awards Saturday night, including awards for best network television newscast, best large-market local television newscast and the top digital media award.

For the fourth consecutive year, “CTV National News with Lisa LaFlamme” took home the Bert Cannings Award for Best Network Television Newscast at the RTDNA awards. CTV News Toronto also took home the honours for best large-market local television newscast, and CTVNews.ca won the digital media award.

The awards, presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association Saturday night, were handed out at the annual conference of Canada’s electronic journalists and news managers.

Long-time CTV National News anchor Lloyd Robertson was also presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The veteran broadcaster was honoured for his more than six decades of work in the industry, along with former CBC journalist Linden MacIntyre, who was also presented with the award.

Wendy Freeman, President of CTV News, was presented with the President's Award for demonstrating journalistic integrity and upholding the RTDNA Code of Ethics. She shared the award with two others.

In addition, Lis Travers, Vice-President of CTV News and Executive Producer of CANADA AM, was presented the Distinguished Service Award, honouring her outstanding contributions in advancing electronic journalism and RTDNA.
