A New Jersey photography company with a reputation for adorable princess images has taken a dark, gritty turn, with an all-children photo shoot based on "The Walking Dead."

A gallery of images posted to Facebook shows several children dressed up as the AMC show's main cast, including Rick Grimes, his son Carl, the sword-wielding Michonne, and the recently-introduced archvillain, Negan. Other children are shown in zombie makeup in recreated scenes from the show.

All of the children are under the age of seven, according to Mother Hubbard Photography.

WARNING: Some may find the images or their descriptions offensive, violent and/or spoilerish in nature.

Mother Hubbard Photography stresses on its Facebook page that all the children involved were participating voluntarily, and that no one was harmed in the photoshoot.

"The children were just playing a role and pretending with toys, same as the children on the show," says a post from Sunday.

Some images are fairly tame, such as one of Rick, Michonne, Carl and baby Judith, who are shown posing on some old railroad tracks.

Others depict some of the more graphic sequences from the adult-oriented show. One shows two girls re-enacting Carol's execution of Lizzie, a young girl. Two others show Negan beating Glenn to death with a baseball bat.

Another image depicts Sasha lying on top of a pile of "dead" zombies, with her eyes open.

A few of the images are flagged as graphic content on Facebook, so users have to click a "Show" button to see them.

Several of the photos are staged on a set of railroad tracks that the photographers insist are no longer in use. "The photos were done on inactive tracks with a literal forest growing through them and haven't been used since the early 1900s," the photographer wrote in a post on Sunday. "I would NEVER shoot on live tracks. These are MY KIDS and their friends (and) I would never put them in danger!"

The photo shoot post has been shared more than 197,000 times on Facebook. Many comments on the page are positive, but some questioned the photographer for depicting children in violent scenes from the show.

A video on the Facebook page shows the photographers and the children's parents working together to stage Glenn's death scene.
