It’s the national Day of Honour to pay tribute to those who fought and died in the war in Afghanistan.

10 a.m.
- Ottawa, Ont. – The Canadian War Museum hosts a private philanthropic donation by Safe Step Cares to Cpl. Frank Dupere, a Canadian serviceman injured during the war in Afghanistan
- Ottawa, Ont. – Memorial service in the Senate chamber for the families of those who died in the war in Afghanistan
- Esquimalt, B.C. – National Day of Honour ceremony at CFB Esquimalt
10:30 a.m.
- Ottawa, Ont. – Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife, Laureen, walk through the Hall of Honour with Governor General David Johnston and his wife, Sharon.
10:45 a.m.
- Ottawa, Ont. – Harper and Johnston attend a memorial service in the Senate chamber for Canadian soldiers who died in Afghanistan
11 a.m.
- Sidney, B.C. – Green Party of Canada Leader Elizabeth May speaks at the wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph on Sidney Avenue, in front of Town Hall

- Ottawa, Ont. – The National Day of Honour parade begins east of Booth Street and moves along Wellington Street to Parliament Hill

- Gagetown, N.B. – National Day of Honour ceremony at CFB Gagetown
- Toronto, Ont. – National Day of Honour parade at Lt- Col. George Taylor Denison III Armoury

- Ottawa, Ont. – Two minutes of silence in honour of those soldiers who died in Afghanistan

- Ottawa, Ont. – 21-gun salute and two aircraft flybys over Parliament Hill
