Toronto couple charged with gang sexual assault of girl, 14

Toronto police have charged a math tutor and his fiancée with an alleged gang sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Police allege the girl was assaulted at the couple’s home in the summer of 2014. They say the math tutor was her teacher “for a number of years.” The couple befriended the girl and she visited their home in the Lawrence Avenue East and the Donway East area numerous times.

Kevin Chan, 32, and Kayla Drumonde, 23, both of Toronto, are each charged with gang sexual assault and sexual interference.

In a news release, police said they believe there may be other victims. They provided a list of locations where Chan volunteered or worked as a private tutor.
