An El Al Israel Airlines flight departing from Toronto Pearson International Airport was forced to return for an emergency landing after reporting an engine fire.

Flight LY30 flew south over Lake Ontario before looping north over Orillia, Ont. to dump fuel.

Greater Toronto Airports Authority senior communications advisor Natalie Moncur confirmed the plane, which was destined for Tel Aviv, landed safely and emergency crews were on the scene to meet the aircraft on the runway. No injuries were reported.
