Sexual assault charges against three former players with the McGill Redmen football team have been dropped.
Crown lawyers said Monday they had obtained new evidence that called the plaintiff’s testimony into question.
The charges dated back to September 2011, when a Concordia University student accused the men of assaulting her after she met the group at a bar.
All three men had maintained their innocence throughout the trial.
