With a mysterious new photo, the German manufacturer is teasing the Los Angeles premiere of a concept embodying its new design language, both inside and out. The vehicle is the first to bear the signature of the brand's new head of design, Marc Lichte.

Appointed by Audi last February, German designer Marc Lichte has been tasked with bringing more emotion to the design of future models. The first concept developed under his guidance is likely to inform the design of the long-rumored Audi A9, the brand's future flagship sedan.

Audi recently created a stir at the Paris Motor Show with the world premiere of another concept, the TT Sportback, a five-door sedan version of the Audi TT with a 400hp turbo engine.

The L.A. Auto Show takes place Nov. 21-30.
